Hi All,

I've just upgraded the software that runs these forums to the latest version. We've added a number of custom features, and I've migrated them all over. Still, if anyone notices any problems or things that have stopped working, please post to this thread or e-mail btmiller -at- helix -dot- nih -dot- gov.

Whe writting a post, the JavaScript functions (Instant Graemlins, Instant UBB Code) fail. Mozilla's JS Console shows:

Error: missing ) after argument list
Source File: http://www.charmm.org/ubbthreads/newrepl...part=1&vc=1
Line: 196, Column: 171
Source Code:
var thisTitle = prompt("Now enter the title of the webpage you wish to reference. For instance, if you are linking to the URL for UBBCentral, you might use the title "UBBCentral Homepage."", "web page");

Thanks for catching that. It looks like a bug somewhere in the JavaScript template. I think I have it fixed now (at least it started working for me). Please let me know if you still have problems.

It seems to work now, but with some strange side effects. After I write something then click "List Start", the whole content of the text input box is replaced by the respective tag; the content is really lost, Ctrl-Z doesn't bring it back; same with other items like "List End", the last smiley, etc. However, if I first insert an URL or Email code, the "List Start" behaves normally, appearing at the place where the cursor is and not deleting anything.

I don't use these items very often, so this strange (to me) behaviour might be there for some time...

Thanks for looking into it!

I receive the forum messages as a summary. Since the update the lines of the messages run together. There do not seem to be any end of line or carriage returns.

I am reading the messages through Lotus Notes (not my choice, corporate standard).

There was a problem with the function that sends out the e-mail not setting the mime-type correctly, causing this issue. I believe that I have it fixed now, but let me know if you're still seeing the lines run together.

I can't seem to replicate the odd list behavior. What browser/version do you see it in (I'm using Firefox 1.0.7)?

I am no longer able to replicate it either. When I experienced the problem, I used 2 browsers: Opera 8.5 and Mozilla 1.7.12, both running on Linux. I tried again with both and both behave well.

I've now made a small configuration change in the Web server to get rid of some internal error messages. This should not affect board functionality in any way, but if anyone notices something strange, please post here or e-mail btmiller <at> helix <dot> nih <dot> gov.
