Dear CHARMM community,

I just installed the CHARMM (version c48a1) and complied without any error. However, I am getting the following error in the of running my script.

At line 187 of file /home/post/charmm/c48a1/build/cmake/parse.F90 (unit = 11, file = 'fort.11')
Fortran runtime error: Sequential READ or WRITE not allowed after EOF marker, possibly use REWIND or BACKSPACE

Do you have any suggestion regarding this issue?

Thank you in advance

you do not provide a whole lot of information, but my guess is that you did not use the -i flag to charmm.

Thank you for your quick response. However the problem is solved by using REWIND in the input script.

OK. I'm not sure what you are doing, but I have not had to use the REWInd command this millenium. For instance if you read files using the modern (only 25 years old) version of the read command

read coor pdb name my.pdb (ie, no open statement and no unit number)

there is no need to rewind the file.
