Dear all,

I want to install charmm on my system, which has an x86 architecture with ubuntu 18.04 operating system, and I'm trying "./install.com gnu", however, no progress. I got so many of these:
makemod.pl: egrad1.src(852): module tsms_mod undefined
makemod.pl: egrad1.src(923): module image undefined
makemod.pl: egrad1.src(927): module icfix undefined
makemod.pl: egrad1.src(1037): module image undefined
makemod.pl: egrad1.src(1169): module image undefined

I also checked the OSX(10.14.2) and tried "./install.com osx" and got some errors related to "ar" command.

The charmm version is "C43B1."

I would be happy to have some comments on my problem.

Thank you in advance,

The "ar" messages for OS X are non-fatal warnings, and are expected. It is possible that the osx build may have succeeded.

I was able to build c43b1 using the default gcc and gfortran on Ubuntu 18.04 via ./install.com gnu

Note that if there have been previous build attempts, it may be necessary to do

rm -rf lib/gnu build/gnu

Thank you for the message,

Compilation Commands: ./install.com gnu
chmroot= /home/alireza/Desktop/charmm/charmm
./setmk.com: Permission denied.
foreach: No match.

In the Ubuntu, this is all I get from the script! I guess it hasn't succeeded.

The setmk.com script doesn't even exist in the directory.

Guys,

Thank @rmv for your response,

Actually, I have installed charmm. It was my fault that used a corrupted package, I only re-download the package and installed it without any hassles. So everything looks fine for both Ubuntu and OSX.

Happy new year and happy charmming smile

Thanks all
