I seem to have a problem during the linking phase, with c32b2 on an Itanium CPU running Linux, using the "itanium" CHARMM architecture which implies using the Intel compiler (version 9.0 in my case).

The linking phase takes a very long time or maybe forever - after about 12 hours CPU time I killed the process. Changing the LD line to replace "-static" by "-i-static" (link Intel provided libraries statically) or "-static-libcxa" (link Intel libcxa C++ library statically) makes the link phase take only several seconds... which makes me wonder if static linking works on other Itanium systems. So are there any other "itanium" users who have encountered this problem ?
