I have a glycosylated protein with a GPI anchor and I'd like to perform simulated annealing to optimize the conformation of the glycans/anchor. I want to keep the protein completely fixed and in a sense mask it from the annealing process. I'm wondering if cons fix would be appropriate in this circumstance or if there is a smarter way to just optimize the positioning of the glycans?
