Fortran runtime error: Sequential READ or WRITE not allowed. - 01/16/19 03:53 AM

Hi!

Recently, I installed CHARMM version 43 and I am using c36 force field. I compiled the CHARMM with:

./install.com gnu xxlarge x86_64

(Debian x86_64 GNU/LINUX type of a machine)

After that I tried to run my script, however I am issued the following Fortran runtime error:

At line 171 of file parse.F90 (unit = 5, file = 'build_test.inp')
Fortran runtime error: Sequential READ or WRITE not allowed after EOF marker, possibly use REWIND or BACKSPACE.

I tried to use REWIND command, but the error is still the same.

I also tried to run the script with:

charmm < build_test.inp > build_test.out
charmm -i build_test.inp > build_test.out
charmm -input build_test.inp > build_test.out

Moreover, I tried stream build_test.inp and then stop in another script, but it gives the same error.

Can it be that my installation was not accurate?

I attached my input file.

Thanks for the help.

You don't say where the problem occurs; post build_test.out as well.

Dear Lennart,

thank you for your answer. I managed to solve my issue in a meantime. I reinstalled CHARMM and changed a complier. I believe it just was not properly installed in the end.

Thanks.
